Our Story
Gardening was always a huge part of my life. As a kid, I would help my mom around the house with garden chores. From pruning the apple trees to weeding, my chores were full of maintenance tasks. My mother owned Valley Blossom Gardening, a garden maintenance business, so she enjoyed passing her knowledge to me throughout my childhood. As I grew older, I started working for my mom maintaining clients' properties. It was always a joyful and knowledgeable experience for me.
After graduating high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps. I spent four years as a machine gunner in the Second Battalion Third Marines. After the Marines, I went back home to Vermont and worked for my mom doing garden maintenance. Throughout that summer, I started working for myself on the side. It began as just weekend work but turned into a full-time job in the fall. I was gardening and painting to start out my journey of self-employment. However, I found that I enjoyed gardening more. So in April 2023, I founded Galipeau Gardens LLC. The name was inspired by my father who died of cancer when I was 20. My dad, Scott, owned Galipeau Construction and I wanted my business name to closely resemble my father’s business in honor of him.
Today we are a well-established business with clients all over Chittenden County, Addison County, and even over the mountain in Fayston and Waitsfield. When you contact Galipeau Gardens you can expect quality work done by an amazing crew of individuals.
Our Identity
From the start, Galipeau Gardens was searching for an identity, as every business does. Wyatt and a few of his first crew members noticed that many companies did good work, but something was missing. They would buzz through gardens without thinking about the little things. In landscaping details matter. It quickly became Galipeau Gardens’ core value. Each detail works together to create a visual masterpiece. The crew takes the necessary time to ensure every customer and their guests get the most from our work.
The most important thing Galipeau Gardens focuses on is the customers. Without them, we would not be here. They are the true visionaries. That’s why we work closely with every customer throughout the season to use their ideas in each garden. Each homeowner has their own idea of a dream landscape. We make that dream a reality. By constantly getting feedback our knowledge grows and they become a part of the process. We strongly encourage clients to watch the progress, bring any ideas to light, and grow with us.
